Gutter Cleaning

Clogged gutters are a roof problem waiting to happen.

Water that can't leave the roof goes somewhere else — behind the fascia, down the siding, into the basement, or into an ice dam in January. Kastor Services clears gutters and downspouts for homes and businesses across Rock County.

How it works

01

Tell us about the building

Number of storeys, roof pitch, gutter run length and tree cover are what drive the quote.

02

You get a written price

A clear number before we start, and a recommendation on how often the building really needs it.

03

We clear, flush and report

Gutters cleared, downspouts flushed, debris removed, and you hear about anything we noticed up there.

What clogged gutters actually cost

Gutter cleaning is cheap. Almost everything downstream of skipping it is not.

Ice dams

Blocked gutters hold meltwater at the roof edge, where it refreezes and forces water back under the shingles.

Fascia and soffit rot

Water sitting against wood does what water does. By the time it's visible from the ground it's usually a repair, not a clean.

Water at the foundation

An overflowing gutter dumps roof water straight down the wall. That's where a lot of wet-basement problems actually start.

Common questions

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Most properties want it at least once a year, after leaf drop. A building under mature trees — especially pines — usually needs spring and fall.

When's the best time?

Late fall, once the leaves are down and before the first hard freeze. That's the visit that protects you through winter.

Do you take the debris with you?

Yes. It gets bagged and hauled. We don't leave piles in the beds or on the lawn.

What if you find damage?

We'll tell you exactly what we saw and where. We're not going to quietly clean around a problem you'd want to know about.

How is it priced?

By building height, gutter run length and how much is up there. We quote before we start, and estimates are free.
