Why beds go downhill
Bed maintenance is the first thing that gets skipped and the fastest thing to notice. A few reasons it slides:
Weeds seed faster than they're pulled
One missed month and the weeds you pull next time have already dropped seed. Frequency matters more than effort.
The edge disappears
Turf creeps into the bed a little at a time. Once the line is gone, the whole planting reads as overgrown even when it isn't.
Mulch thins out
Mulch breaks down and washes. As the layer thins, weed pressure climbs and the color goes flat.

Common questions
How often should beds be maintained?
It depends on the planting and how much weed pressure the site has. Many properties do well with a spring reset and recurring visits through the growing season. We'll recommend a rhythm after seeing the beds.
Do you use chemicals?
We handle weeds mechanically where that works, and use a pre-emergent or spot treatment where it's the sensible option. We'll tell you what we plan to use before we use it.
Can you re-mulch at the same time?
Yes. Clearing the bed and refreshing mulch in one visit is usually the cheaper way to do it, since the prep work is already done.
My beds are badly overgrown. Is that a problem?
No. Overgrown beds are normal work for us — it just takes longer on the first visit. After the reset, keeping them looking right is much less effort.
How is it priced?
By bed area and condition. A neglected bed takes more time than a maintained one, so we quote after seeing it. Estimates are free.
